Thank you for joining Robert Rose and Steve Riley in our final Killing Marketing workshop session 6.

In this workshop, Robert discussed the ongoing measurement plan, the measurement pyramid, objectives, KPI’s, and what success looks like. He went over how to accomplish something (an objective) using four key results and the pyramids for every objective.

KPI’s are there to improve your process and Robert was there to assist with any final pushes or questions about the marketing plan. He went over the purpose and focus of the experience, the overall objective, and specific key results as well as an update on his marketing project.

Killing Marketing Session 5 Replay

Thank you for joining Robert Rose in our Session 5 Killing Marketing Workshop! The theme in today’s Killing Marketing session was Marketing and Promotion. In today’s workshop, Robert discussed where you are stuck, provided resources to assist with content planning and answered questions about how you are creating content and assets.

Robert took us through his project and how he has managed technology, content, marketing and promotions. He also discussed the marketing funnel and how to build an audience. He went over the PESO Model, the media mix calculator, and how to reach your marketing goals through reverse engineering.

Robert discussed the Project Pitch, provided a recap and every individual went over where they were stuck. Robert and Steve offered ideas, recommendations and suggestions on how to move forward with your marketing plan.

Homework for Session 5: When you are breaking down and creating your marketing plan, now is the time to focus on marketing and promotions. Homework for session 5 is to ask yourself, “If this thing (marketing service/product) was out there and not associated with your business, what would its identity be? How would you position or market it?” Think about if it would be a stand-alone product or if it would be added to your current marketing strategy. When you are marketing your product, think about the emotional and social elements – how do you differentiate yourself?

The homework for Killing Marketing Session 3 is to use the attached Homework exercise and determine:

  • Your audience – describe them and who they are
  • Researching your audience – how many people? Is it a niche or broad group?
  • What does your audience want and need?
  • Your audience value – calculate the value of your audience

We have also attached Sam Price’s PowerPoint example template and Robert Rose’s powerpoint slides for session 1 and session 2. Feel free to download both and use them as templates or save them for future reference.
