Atticus has worked exclusively with attorneys since 1989. Our clients have consistently reported increased revenues that they’ve directly attributed to having implemented our strategies and working with our Practice Advisors & Facilitators.

Some of our Practice Advisors are highly experienced attorneys who have owned and sold practices. Some are not. Our Advisors’ backgrounds include successful careers in accounting, business development, military command, the ministry, human resources, and marketing.

Our Certified Practice Advisors do not coach you on becoming a better lawyer. They lead you on the path to becoming a successful (or a more successful) business owner. Each of our Practice Advisors has run his or her own successful business and has served many years helping law firm owners learn and master the four cornerstone issues of practice management: hiring, training and developing staff; tracking for profitability and managing cash flow; creating and maintaining a unique client development strategy (i.e. marketing); and time and focus management.

Over the past 30 years, Atticus has assembled and shared an enormous amount of practice management related resources, articles, and recordings at no cost. It’s why we’ve become a reliable source of helpful information for business-owning attorneys everywhere. However, our workshop and program curriculum is considered intellectual property and we don’t make it freely available to the public. If you are researching a specific practice management issue and are curious if we have any tools, information, or educational materials that might help you, we encourage you to reach out.

All of our Programs and Workshops are led by our Practice Advisors & Facilitators, each having undergone additional extensive training on teaching the unique concepts, strategies, and methods within the Atticus curriculum. They are highly skilled at facilitating group coaching programs for attorneys and have led countless law firm retreats, taught educational presentations at state bar conferences, and given keynote speeches for many legal associations across the nation.

A business coach isn’t a requirement for every lawyer, but for those serious about growing their firm, improving profitability, or reclaiming time, coaching can be transformative. A coach brings structure, accountability, and proven strategies, but success depends on your willingness to do the work. If you’re ready to invest time and energy into making meaningful changes, a coach can help you achieve results you might not achieve on your own.

Making more money isn’t just about working harder—it’s about working smarter. Focus on improving efficiency, attracting higher-value clients, and streamlining operations. Reevaluate your pricing model, delegate non-legal tasks, and be intentional about marketing. If you commit to making strategic changes, you’ll see meaningful financial growth.

Making more money often comes down to a few key things: running your firm more efficiently, marketing to the right clients, and delivering great service. You might look at changing your pricing model, automating admin work, or even narrowing your focus to a specific niche. Sometimes, it’s just about identifying where you’re leaving money on the table—and an advisor can help you with that.

Selling a law firm is a big decision. Selling a law firm requires preparation and strategy. Organize your financials, document key processes, and ensure a smooth client transition. Understanding your firm’s value and finding the right buyer are critical steps. With the right approach, you can maximize your firm’s worthwhile protecting what you’ve built.

Starting a successful law firm requires more than just opening your doors—it takes careful planning and a willingness to approach your practice like a business. Begin by defining your practice area and creating a solid business plan that includes your financial goals, target clients, and marketing strategy. Set up efficient systems for case management, billing, and client communication from the start. Most importantly, commit to working on your firm, not just in it. Success comes when you invest the time and effort to build a strong foundation and stay focused on long-term growth.

Running a successful firm isn’t just about great legal work—it’s about leadership, efficient systems, and a strong team. You need to focus on profitability, time management, and client service while continuously refining your business operations. The firms that thrive are those that treat their practice like a business, not just a profession. A successful law firm depends on more than good legal work. You need strong leadership, efficient systems, and a team that supports your vision. It also takes a mindset shift—you have to step out of the day-to-day work and focus on building a business that runs smoothly without relying on you for everything. Attorneys willing to invest in themselves and their firm’s operations see the biggest rewards.

There are some great companies out there that specialize in helping law firms grow. Atticus is one of them—we help lawyers improve their profitability, manage their time better, and build strong teams. Other companies focus on things like law firm marketing, tech solutions, or accounting, depending on what you need most. Several companies focus on helping law firms grow. Atticus specializes in coaching and consulting to improve profitability, time management, and team performance. Other companies provide marketing, technology, or financial services tailored to law firms. The key isn’t just choosing the right company—it’s committing to implementing what they teach.

We do both! If you need one-on-one help to tackle specific challenges, we offer personalized consulting. If you’d rather learn alongside other firm owners, our group programs, like the Practice Growth Program, are a great way to share ideas and get proven strategies to grow your firm.

Attorneys and law firms that implement Atticus strategies often see measurable improvements in revenue, client satisfaction, and team performance—but the real results come from the effort you put in. When you’re willing to do the heavy lifting, you’ll not only see financial growth but also create a firm that gives you the freedom to focus on what matters most, both personally and professionally.
