If you take a step back and examine your career at this moment, are you happy with where you stand? Are you able to step away from your desk and focus on family events and traditions? Do you have the capacity to go on vacation without checking-in every day?

As a law firm owner or shareholder, it may seem impossible to increase, or double, your revenue, without increasing your hours, your stress or your overhead.

Here at Atticus, we have spent 30 years perfecting an all-day in-person workshop, our Double Your Revenue™ Workshop, which focuses on just that – doubling your revenue without adding any stress or anxiety to your day-to-day. In fact, we want your business to be so profitable that you can work less and still generate revenue. This includes taking family vacations without checking-in. If this doesn’t seem possible, you will want to read on.

Marc Whitehead, a double-board certified lawyer and an Adjunct Practice Advisor with Atticus, has attended the Double Your Revenue™ workshop three times, every time with a new intention, new skills, and a new mindset.

Through this workshop, he has been able to increase his revenue six times. He took the ideas that he learned and successfully applied them to his law practice. After his continued success, he decided to co-teach this workshop last year, where his law practice resides, Houston, Texas.

Marc spoke with Atticus Shareholder and Attorney, Steve Riley on his podcast, “Great Practice. Great Life. by Atticus” and shared some secrets that he learned while attending this workshop and how he has become an extremely successful businessman and lawyer. Here are a few:

  •  Focus your niche so you can easily handle your processes
  •  Think about factors that influence your law practice and what you would need to do in order to double your revenue (physical structure, high-quality cases, outsourcing, and building your team)
  •  Determine if the fee you receive from your case is worth the effort you are putting into the case
  •  Analyze your intake process
  •  Determine if accepting a case is allowing you to continue to live the lifestyle you are wanting and if it becomes a natural extension of what you are already doing
  •  Invest in the right people
  •  Train your staff properly and determine how your intake system should work
  •  Consider the eight levers of profitability

“People can only see as far as your cashflow allows.”
“Your process drives profitability.”
